A Time For Rest

 Dear Friends,

After 3 months of wall-to-wall activity we are done with sorting, donating, storing, and selling our stuff and moving into our new home on wheels.   It is now a time for a rest.

We spent a few days with my brother, Gary and his friend, Nancy at her home in Mary Esther, FL on the coast west of Pensicola.   It was relaxing and refreshing.  We did the same a few days later at John's brother, Michael and wife Marna in their high rise condo in Miramar, FL about 40 miles west of Panama City on the emerald coast.  We enjoyed beach time, mini golf, pool, jacuzzi, table games, cards and just enjoying our time to relax.  Taking time to breathe and spend time in God's Word and prayer is a much needed time of R and R.   The dissapation of stress has been just the right medicine!

We are in two Facebook Groups of Christian Full-Tiime RVers and enjoying the advice and ideas.

So far our experience felt like a vacation with friends and family but next week Wednesday we embark on the beginning of our new RV lifestyle as we head toward the Atlantic then up the east coast.  Stay tuned there will be plenty to write about along the way.

We miss our Texas based friends and family already!

Please keep us in your prayers,

John and Linda

  1. Sounds like a good start. We have had surprisingly wet and cooler weather for July. Cut into my tennis and disc golf sessions! Barbara continues to improve with energy level and is getting around well. She can drive herself now. Here hip replacement surgery has healed very well. We never really found out what sent her to the hospital after her hip surgery. But she is for the most part, recovered. Her knee is giving her pain now, so that will be the next surgery to look forward to.

So glad you two have gotten healthy and can go on such an adventure. Enjoy!

    warmest regards,

  4. I did write comment but maybe I did something wrong that you didn't get it. We are doing quite well. We have thorns in our flesh but lots of roses in our life. We are very blessed in so many ways. Loved your letter and all the fun pictures. God's blessing as you continue to follow the path he has for you. Our love, Pete and Shirley
