We close this blog with the gripping words of restored hope, from the civil war era, of America's most famous poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow when he penned this poem which became the beloved Christmas Carol:

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
    And wild and sweet
    The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
    "For hate is strong,
    And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor does He sleep;
    The Wrong shall fail,
    The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men."

The only words that come to our minds are "Halleujah and Praise God"!

We wish you a Merry Christmas, honoring our Savior's birth, and a Happy New Year!

Keep the Faith!

John and Linda
