Weber's Chosen Odyssey

As we hang out at the La Hacienda RV Resort in the Austin area, we have been very blessed to be near family and wonderful friends that we have made here since 2005.   We spent quality time with our son John's family, flew to Portland to spend Christmas with Ken and Tricia and the kids, got together here in TX with friends for birthday celebrations and Christmas parties and a nice camping outing with friends in Kerrville, TX.   Interspersed with all that, John had the opportunity to teach through the book of 1 John for 7 weeks to our adult class at Hill Country Bible Church Austin.  If anyone is interested, it is a powerful little book (5 chapters) on the subject of "The Gateway to Fellowship with God".   I can send my PowerPoints if anyone is interested. Dear friends and family,                                                                                                December 15, 2021                                      December 31, 2021 will mark 5 months since we decided to see people and places on the road across the country.  We will finish 2021 at La Hacienda RV Resort in Hudson Bend, TX, near Austin.  Our son John's family, as well as friends we have grown to love over the last 15 years, live in the greater Austin area.  We have been very blessed!   What a whirlwind!   We made our way through Illinois to Missouri and stopped in Branson.  The City of Branson RV Park was very convenient to downtown.   We were in Branson a year ago and did not appreciate the hills.  But when you are pulling a 15,000lb 5th Wheel the hills become magnified and dangerous.  We were extra carful!  Just dont get stuck at a red light near the top of a hill with a 10% grade when it is wet! In Branson, we saw three shows.  Dublin's Irish Tenors and the Celtic Ladies, Deanz The Ultimate Elvis show was as close to the actual Elvis we have ever seen. He was awesome!  The Sight and Sound Presentation of the Life of Jesus. Sights and Sounds was vey well done celebrating the life of Christ, His Redemption and an invitation at the end for folks to receive Him into their lives.  The colors were quite vivid and just starting to peak! October 20, 2021 After the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we settled in for a couple of weeks in lower Michigan.  Our time quickly filled up with reunions with more realtives and friends we havent seen for 50 years or more.   What a blessing!! Friends from our youth at Redeemer Baptist Church, Warren, MI sharing great stories (which will not be repeated here!).  But what fun! My family was always close to extended family growing up.  As such John got to know his mothers cousins, as if they were his 1st cousins.   The watress who took this family picture obviously didn't know how to use a camera!
