Webers Chosen Odyssey

Dear Readers,

Linda and I feel blessed to embark on the fulfillment of a 40+ year dream of seeing the national parks, meeting tons of new friends, people we havent seen in years, giving away a free gift of a New Testament to people we meet along the way.  It is our experience that rarely does anyone so, "no I do not want it".  We trust it can be a help to anyone and we also trust, as scripture says, "God's Word will not return void".

The last 2 months or so featured the following major events;

  • De-cluttered our Condo to offer for sale (you should have seen our garage!)
  • Sold our condo in a weekend.
  • Sorted EVERYTHING between, store for 2 years, sell/give away and take in the 5th wheel.
  • Bought a 2018 Outdoor RV Mountain Series 5th wheel
  • Bought a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with a Duramax diesel engine.
  • Sold a 2016 Lincoln MKX
  • Set up a travel trailer "BNB" agreement with American Adventurers RV to rent out our 2021 Sol Dawn travel trailer (https://www.intechrv.com/models/sol/dawn/).
  • Started immediately learning how (and how not to) handle a 33 ft/13,000 lb rig being towed by a 19' pickup truck!
With God's grace we left Round Rock, TX on June 30 and will return to this area of Texas (friends and family!) for November/December.

Linda will be adding to this blog frequently starting with our recent stay in Schulenburg, TX to see the famous Texas Painted Churches which were built by German and Czech Christian immigrants in the mid to late 1800's.  Glorious.

So for now here is our rig and we ask for your prayers for us along the way.  PS: we have given several free gift of testaments in our first week.

Truly an Odyssey!

John and Linda Weber

    1. Thanks Manny, we still get Eileen’s emails and feel connected that way, but you are right, nothing like being with you personally!
